Learning to breathe changed so much for me. Simple yet profound. This process goes on unnoticed in the background of our life, yet is absolutely vital to our survival. Even so, we give little thought to it.
In my book – ‘The Space Between: Breast cancer & finding me’ – I share my experience during radiotherapy treatment where the growth in my relationship with my breath meant that I was able to cope with a stressful situation with ease and, at times, humour.
To accompany the book and serve as a way of sharing my interest in getting to know your breathing, I have put together this workshop.

BREATHING SPACE WORKSHOP

A 90-minute live workshop to explore:
How we breathe.
How we can modify the breath to tap into different aspects of our nervous system.
When to use different techniques and why.
It will be a mix of the biology behind our breathing, autonomic nervous system and polyvagal theory, some yoga pranayama, and self-inquiry. The first step to living in harmony with our breath and body is to get to know them. When we perhaps pay less attention to them or even dismiss the messages we are receiving and how we might alter that to improve our well-being – mentally and physically.
The workshop will be live and interactive and offer many practical applications for your own life.
