The Space Between: Breast cancer & finding me
Finding out that I had lobular breast cancer in July 2020 was unexpected. The journey that followed has been a roller coaster of emotions – lightness, darkness and also moments of pure joy. I have learned so much about myself. I wanted to share this journey both for myself and for others in my book.
‘The Space Between: Breast cancer & finding me’ is Jacqui’s heartfelt, emotional and inspirational account of her Grade 2 Invasive Lobular Breast Cancer diagnosis, treatments, epiphanies, battle scars, and ultimately, her journey of self-discovery.

Breathing Space Workshop
Learning to breathe changed so much for me. Simple yet profound. This process goes on unnoticed in the background of our life, yet is absolutely vital to living well and with ease. Even so, we give little thought to it.
In my book – ‘The Space Between: Breast cancer & finding me’ – I share my experience during radiotherapy treatment where all the many months I spent doing breathwork practice each day meant that I was able to cope with a stressful situation with ease and, at times, humour.
As a way of sharing the power of breathwork I developed this online workshop – Breathing Space.
One To One Mentoring
WORKING WITH THE
whole you
My focus is working with the whole you – your health, your work, your family, your interests – all of these factors influence how we go about our day-to-day lives. Understanding what is most important to you at this point in time allows us to explore how we create the space to get you closer to that. One small step at a time. And these priorities may change, which is perfectly acceptable and completely normal. I believe how well we look after ourselves impacts how we move through life and our connections and interactions with others.
If this resonates with you book a call now with Jacqui.

Mindful Wisdom Unlocked
Mindful Wisdom Unlocked
There is no magic pill or miracle hack to make you perform better each day. You flip between rigidity and chaos – trying to be someone you’re not then pushing back against it.
We need to learn about ourselves, our personal rhythms and how that interacts with the world we occupy. Knowing ourselves and making sustainable change is harder than a quick fix. The big difference though is if you create a system that is uniquely designed to meet your needs and deliver what outcome you are looking for then it stands a far greater chance of being successful.
When we uncover what we need and what nourishes our body, mind and spirit we are far better equipped to move through our lives and make a meaningful impact on those around us.
Offerings
As a mentor, meditation and yoga teacher you can work with Jacqui in a number of ways. You can follow her writing on Substack and become part of her online community.
Breathwork
In my book – ‘The Space Between’ – I share my experience during radiotherapy treatment where my recent development in the relationship with my breath meant that I was able to cope with a stressful situation with ease and at times humour.
When you work with me we will explore how you breathe, how you can modify the breath to tap into different aspects of your nervous system and when to use different techniques, and why…
Yoga
I’ve travelled alongside Yoga on and off for over 20 years, using it mainly for movement and the flexibility that I felt I lacked. Yoga was all about doing then. No different to my running, swimming, or biking.
Then I could no longer ‘do’. I learnt how to be.
My intention is to share how Yoga might teach you to be in your body and mind, regardless of what you believe you can do or where you start from.
Physiotherapy
Since selling my practice The Bingley Physiotherapy Practice Ltd, in 2021, I continue to offer my unique combination of manual therapy services to the local community.
My approach to therapy is grounded in an evidence-informed assessment model – the Integrated Systems Model (ISM) incorporating the Thoracic Ring Approach™…
MY
SUCCESS STORIES
Thanks
“From the first appointment I felt more in control of my business and was able to fix my working hours to give me more time to spend on myself, my home and my family. I have been able to stick to my new routine, which has facilitated my self-help journey, but also enabled me to make better business-related decisions, specifically avoiding taking on tasks or responsibilities that are either not profitable, or are not possible to finish.”
“Previously I would reach for my work phone as soon as I’d wake up. It was a struggle to break old habits but I was able to put a flexible morning routine into place that allowed me time for myself, my health and mental health. I found that by doing so, I’d have the mental focus needed for the priorities when I did start work. Jacqui also helped me to break up my daily schedule allowing for more breaks where I’d stretch, move away from the computer/ work phone and resources. Consequently increasing my productivity whilst feeling less stressed and burnt out!”
“Overall, the classes have made me want to learn more and really push myself and I try to practise daily at home, by watching the recap videos that Jacqui emails on a weekly basis. I feel stronger and more toned and I’m really looking forward to joining the ‘improvers’ class when it starts and would recommend Jacqui’s classes to anyone.”
