living with heartful intent

Pause, breathe and make space for stillness; feel your entire body and all the powerful things it has to say, then go out there and live it all.

Her story is one of deep bravery and courage.

Writing

Writing to reframe and explore

Words bring aliveness and meaning to our lives and experiences.

My writing explores how we live through change, our relationships with ourselves and others, identity shifts and the everyday demands of being human – with honesty, tenderness and a practical eye on how we keep going.

My memoir, The Space Between: Breast cancer & finding me,  is one part of this work, sharing my experience of diagnosis, treatment and the ripples through every thread of my life. Cancer was once the main player in my story; taking centre stage until it slowly moved into the wings as I learned to take the lead again.

On my Substack  you will find essays, reflections and poetry that look at what it means to live a full, meaningful life while everything is changing.

Reviews of The Space Between

"Couldn't stop reading"

“A book about breast cancer didn’t seem like the obvious enjoyable read but this book honestly had me captivated. It made me cry in parts, nod my head in recognition at that “go go go get it done” mentality that so many of us strong women have, and it made me smile….a lot. What a journey for Jacqui but also for the reader.”

"Incredible insightful story"

“An incredibly powerful yet gentle and insightful story that really brings to life the reality of a serious cancer diagnosis – with the added complication of Covid. Brilliantly written and honest with the physical, practical and emotional turmoil & planning, but the usual family fun mixed in. A “must read” to start to understand what goes on in someone’s head when the C word applies and life as you know it is turned upside down.”

"Thoroughly engaging"

“This is a powerful account of the courage it takes to look a breast cancer diagnosis in the face and survive the experience of treatment. Jacqui navigates her way through that, and the overwhelming challenges of lockdown, by taking control of what can be controlled,  focusing on what matters and letting go of everything else.  Lessons for life, and Jacqui talks honestly about how she applied them beyond the immediate challenge of her diagnosis. Her story is engagingly told and very readable. I loved the train journey metaphor, the vignettes and the digestible snippets of scientific/technical information.”

Meditation

Meditation to shape your life

Meditation began for me as a gift through breathwork and has become a practice woven into daily life.
Learning to breathe with awareness changed so much and that same awareness now sits at the heart of how I teach meditation.

When you work with me we explore how you can gently modify the breath to support your nervous system, and how to bring simple meditation practices into the real fabric of your days.

This is not about meditating trying to escape life, but about creating real shifts, beyond a temporary calm, in how you meet both the hard stuff and the daily rhythm of life.

Mentoring

WORKING WITH THE

whole you

Mentoring offers a quieter place to be: a space to dampen down the noise, expectations and conditioning, and to see more clearly who you are being underneath and who you want to become.

My focus is working with the whole you – your health, your work, your family, your desires – because all of these shape how you move through life.

The mentoring process is designed to help you move towards:

  • Feeling calmer and more grounded in your daily life, so you can respond to events with more composure
  • Feeling greater ease with uncertainty and more acceptance of where you are, living for right now
  • Reallocating time to your priorities – including yourself – and making space to do what you love, without guilt

If this resonates with you book a call now.

From the first appointment I felt more in control of my business and was able to fix my working hours to give me more time to spend on myself, my home and my family.

Mindful Wisdom Unlocked

Mindful Wisdom Unlocked

There is no magic pill or miracle hack to make you perform better each day. You flip between rigidity and chaos – trying to be someone you’re not then pushing back against it.

We need to learn about ourselves, our personal rhythms and how that interacts with the world we occupy. Knowing ourselves and making sustainable change is harder than a quick fix. The big difference though is if you create a system that is uniquely designed to meet your needs and deliver what outcome you are looking for then it stands a far greater chance of being successful.

When we uncover what we need and what nourishes our body, mind and spirit we are far better equipped to move through our lives and make a meaningful impact on those around us.

The meditation class is really enlightening, a chance for self reflection & progression in a safe, warm & welcoming space…a chance to press the pause button, breathe deeply & take a little time to nurture yourself…thank you.

Work with me

As a mentor, meditation teacher and physiotherapist you can work with me in a number of ways. You can also follow my writing on Substack and become part of my online community.

Mentoring

Find a quieter inner space, so you can respond to life rather than react to it.

No two people are the same, so what we cover will depend on you, what you are looking to do, and how you evolve through the process.

We draw on meditation principles, breath, mindfulness, positive‑neuroplasticity tools and affirmative commitments to gently reshape how you see yourself and how you interact with your world.

Meditation

Meditation is not about “emptying your mind” or escaping your life.

This work moves beyond simple “regulation” towards transformation, often through the sticky ground of deconstructing old stories, expectations and conditioning – at a pace that feels safe and sustainable for you.

It is a gentle yet powerful practice that creates real shifts beyond a temporary calm.

Physiotherapy

Hands‑on therapy to support your body as you move through life’s demands  – available in Bingley and Harrogate.

Physiotherapy, Visceral Manipulation and Cranial Therapy, drawing on over 20 years of clinical experience.

My approach looks at how different parts of the body and your life interact, rather than treating one area in isolation

MY

SUCCESS STORIES

Thanks

“From the first appointment I felt more in control of my business and was able to fix my working hours to give me more time to spend on myself, my home and my family. I have been able to stick to my new routine, which has facilitated my self-help journey, but also enabled me to make better business-related decisions, specifically avoiding taking on tasks or responsibilities that are either not profitable, or are not possible to finish.”

“Previously I would reach for my work phone as soon as I’d wake up. It was a struggle to break old habits but I was able to put a flexible morning routine into place that allowed me time for myself, my health and mental health. I found that by doing so,  I’d have the mental focus needed for the priorities when I did start work. Jacqui also helped me to break up my daily schedule allowing for more breaks where I’d stretch, move away from the computer/ work phone and resources.  Consequently increasing my productivity whilst feeling less stressed and burnt out!”

“This course has been a really lovely introduction to meditation in the very special environment of the Feel Good Hub – encouraging but unpressurised, with plenty of resources to take away and use afterwards. I’d recommend Jacqui and the course to anyone wanting to try for meditation for the first time or just needing a bit of structure to motivate them.”

ABOUT

jacqui

Jacqui is a writer, mentor, meditator, physio & trans ally inspired by her children and the joy of living.  An experience of breast cancer and now activism lead her to deeply examine her values and act from them. Jacqui writes about finding grace through life’s challenges and mentors to facilitate self-enquiry to support personal growth.

Her career started as an engineer in corporate sales, before making the bold decision to retrain as a physiotherapist. After running her own private practice for 13 years, she sold the business in 2021. Her passion now is to share the gifts that using meditation can bring to heal us in our daily lives.

She lives close to the Yorkshire moors with her husband and beloved dog and is working on a  book exploring how fear of difference hurts us all, healing requires building relationships both with ourselves and beyond our comfort zone and how activism without self-compassion robs us of our passion for change.
